Pastor John Austin
The Five Principles of Giving and Receiving
I live south of the US border in a small Mexican farming community. This week I was in need of a considerable sum of money to meet some financial obligations as well as ongoing money to support my missionary work to needy children here in Mexico. I sat down and figured out how much money I needed for my immediate obligations. Having only 100 Pesos (about $8 US) that I could sow, I prayed and asked God whom I should give the money to. I was led to give it to a crippled man who has a handicapped wife and three young children between six and ten years of age.
I learned that they had been without food in their home for several days. This man told me he had been praying for food that very morning and had been shown a vision of me coming to his house. Although my gift was small and seemed insignificant, I was indeed blessed to know that God was using me to provide a few meals to a family that desperately needed food and at the same time increasing this person's faith in the power of prayer.
It is obviously better to teach one to fish and feed him for a lifetime versus giving him a fish and feeding him for a day. Infinitely more powerful is teaching him the principles of sowing and reaping as it applies to money. This is the real answer to helping all people enjoy a richer and fuller life.
When I arrived this morning at the home of this crippled man, he was in his wheelchair weeding his garden. I seized the opportunity to teach and I asked him, "why did you expect these pepper plants to grow?" He said, "because I planted the seeds." I then proceeded to teach him a little bit about The Five Principles.
"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." (Matthew 21:22)
How To Sow Money For Miraculous Returns
UNDERSTANDING ETERNAL LAWS:
The purpose of this website is to show you how to sow something of value and expect a miraculous return in money, health, relationships or in any area of life where you choose to receive it. And how can we expect to receive whatsoever we ask for? By obeying the Eternal Laws that govern these principles and by planting the proper seeds.
Some laws like gravity have generally been understood since the beginning of time. Other laws that now bless our lives immensely were not discovered or used for thousands of years. For instance, by using the laws of internal combustion and aerodynamics, we can lift an aircraft weighing over one million pounds off the ground and travel farther in an hour than our ancestors could travel in an entire year.
The law of electricity that lights our homes and runs our computers has always existed, but it wasn’t harnessed until recent generations. To harness these laws and enjoy the blessings that can come from them, certain principles must be applied correctly.
If you put a seed in the ground and care for it correctly, you can expect it to germinate, grow and to return to you multiplied. However, if you just scatter seeds on top of the ground, the birds will eat many of them, the wind will blow some of them away and those that remain will likely be scorched by the sun and die.
FARMING FOR MONEY:
Similarly, there are principles which govern the giving or sowing of money and other items of value. If sown correctly you can expect them to return to you multiplied. However, money gifts that are sown correctly will not multiply any better than seeds that are cast to the wind.
Once you understand how to apply these principles correctly, you can start giving time, money, or anything of value and expect it to come back to you multiplied, good measure, pressed down and running over.
Christ admonished us to seek the Kingdom of God first, promising us that all the other things we need will be added. (Matt 6:33) How many things will be added? All of the good things of life.
Christ said, the kingdom is inside of each of us. The only thing lacking is our knowledge of how to apply the laws and operate within that kingdom. In our state of ignorance, we fail to benefit from this great gift that Christ has given us. The kingdom includes an abundance of all things that are good.
(Later on I will show you some real life examples of how we can use the Kingdom of God to get anything we want.)
When giving money or anything of value, there are five principles which cause the gift to return to you multiplied. The key is to stop operation in the kingdom of man and start operating in the Kingdom of God.
For example, in the kingdom of man a bushel of wheat can make enough bread to feed several people. When that same wheat is planted in properly prepared soil, it enters into the Kingdom of God where it can then multiply and eventually feed the whole world.
The idea of putting a seed in the ground and getting thousands of seeds in return is strange indeed. Even stranger is the idea of sowing money for an increased return. If people knew for a fact that money would multiply the same way as seeds that are properly planted, everyone would want to become money farmers. Some will not believe such a thing, but if you can just muster enough faith to experience one bounteous harvest it is all over after that. It only takes one such miracle to change your life forever.
Christ said we could do all that he did and more when we learn to use the laws that govern faith. These spiritual laws work 100% of the time and as Christians, we should be spiritual scientists, experimenting to understand how to operate within these laws. Whenever we try to exercise faith and something doesn’t work the way we think it should, we are doing something wrong and we need to ask God why in order to learn what it is we need to change.
We don’t have to understand the laws of electricity to turn on a light switch or understand the law of the harvest to make a seed grow. Our faith in these laws is established by seeing the end result. As we begin to experiment and work within the realm of sowing money, our faith in this law will grow and soon become unshakable as we experience miraculous returns.
Christ said we should take no thought for the food we eat and the clothes we put on. He said if we seek first the Kingdom, all these things would be added. All of the power of God resides in the Kingdom. We were given the best vehicle on earth for meeting all of our needs, we just need to learn how to drive it.
The Kingdom of God works for more than just receiving money. This same principle can be used to receive miracles in health, relationships, etc. People who are suffering excruciating pain or perhaps even dying can sow a faith seed to cure any illness. It may take some time to grow your faith to a point of not doubting, but God promises that any person who asks for anything and doubts not in his heart, shall receive whatsoever he asks.
Many pastors, ministers and leaders of religions are lacking in faith. That is why they are not personally witnessing miracles and also why they either tell their followers that there are no miracles today, or in order for a miracle to occur it must be God's will.
The scripture does not say you will receive what you ask for "only if it be God’s will.” It says you will receive "everything" you ask for as long as you doubt not in your heart. Faith is increased by working with the Five Principles to the point that many people immediately experience what may be called miracles, because it is God's will to give us everything that we ask for in faith.
Worldwide there is much suffering from hunger and oppression. By sharing these principles with enough people, the consciousness of the whole world can be raised. It is such a oneness and faith that will usher in the millennial reign. God promises to heal every nation that repents and returns to him. Exercising faith in God and operating in the kingdom can cure all problems.
God has an agenda. He has things that he wants done and when we are smart enough to mix his business with our business, he will give us unbelievably big harvests. If things are not going as good as they could or should, we are doing something wrong. After fishing all night and not catching any fish, Christ told his disciples to cast their nets again on the opposite side of the boat and the nets were so full that both boats nearly sank. We can be guided by the Spirit in similar fashion to increase the returns from any work that we do.
How would you like Christ to supernaturally multiply your harvest? He can and will as soon as you start operating in the dimension of faith. This dimension is not of the physical world. It is part of the Kingdom of God and believing is what will cause you to take the first step of faith. Faith is the key that makes it all work.
Pastor Gary Keesee learned how to apply this law through his love of deer hunting. Gary spent a lot of money on licenses, guns, ammunition, etc., but almost never got his deer. One day the Lord spoke to his spirit and said, Gary, why don’t you trust me for your deer?
Gary said, “What do you mean? Do you have a deer tied up somewhere? Are you going to tell me where to hunt?” “No, I want you to sow a money seed of faith. I want you to pray over the money and release it, believing you will receive your deer.” Mark 11:24
Gary got out a checkbook and wrote out a check, writing in the memo section “for my 1987 deer” and put his gift of money into the mail. He then wrote on a piece of paper, “I believe that I received my 1987 deer” and put the paper in his wallet.
He went out and sat down in a pasture and in about 30 minutes he had a six-point buck. His friend heard the shot and came over to where Gary was. Gary showed his friend the paper in his wallet and said, “I think this deer is a result of the Kingdom of God.”
The next year Gary moved to Ohio. He didn’t have a chance to do any scouting. He again sowed his seed for his 1988 deer and went out into the woods. In about 30 minutes had his deer. This happened year after year, until Ohio changed its laws allowing two deer – a buck and a doe. This time Gary wrote on his check “for a buck and a doe.”
He went out the first time and within a few minutes got his buck. He went out a second time and within a few minutes got his doe. Without exception, this happened every year and no deer came under his tree other than the ones he specifically asked God for.
One year Gary was hunting for the first time with a bow and arrow. He only had about 40 minutes to hunt and he got up in his tree stand and within a few minutes he sees an eight-point buck, but it is about 300 yards away and walking away from him.
He heard a voice speak to his spirit saying, “Tell the deer to come here.” Gary spoke out loud and said, “deer, in the name of Jesus I command you to stop, turn around, come here and stand underneath this tree.” The deer did exactly as it was told and Gary got his deer.
One year Gary went out and no deer showed up. When he asked the Lord why? The same voice spoke to his spirit and said, "you just wrote out your check like you were paying for a deer and forgot to pray over your seed. Gary immediately sowed another seed and prayed over it and this time the deer showed up just like all the other times. This shows the importance of blessing your seed each and every time you sow it.
One day after all these years, Gary got the idea that if this principle of sowing worked for getting a deer, it might work for getting money and other things. Gary and his wife had over $100,000 in credit card debt and were driving a car that was rusted out and continually breaking down. Using these same principles, Gary turned his finances around and has since made millions of dollars.
God has an agenda. He wants to take care of us and give us all of the abundance our hearts desire, but he wants us to sow seeds, because that is how he demonstrates his power and how he takes care his agenda. This law works 100% of the time when used correctly and there are five distinct steps to put this law into motion.
FIVE PRINCIPLES OF GIVING RECEIVING:
Principle Number One: When you go to God with a need or a problem, the first thing God asks is, “What shall I do for you?" In II Kings 4:1 a widow went to the prophet Elisha and said her creditor was coming to carry her two sons into slavery to satisfy her debt. She identified her need, which was to pay her debt and save her sons from bondage.
So the first thing you must do is to clearly identify and define what it is that you want or need. I write these things down in a "James IV notebook" that I will use and refer to for the rest of my life. I encourage you to do the same, so you will not forget the miracles that God will work in your behalf. And as you witness the infinite supply within the Kingdom of God, your faith will soon become unshakeable. Yea, it will not longer be faith, but will be pure knowledge. Your personal harvests will grow into faith-building stories that will ignite similar faith in the hearts of many others, because faith comes by hearing the word.
God wants us to acknowledge that He is the source of our total supply; it is by His power that the seeds are multiplied. All He wants is the glory. He allows us to keep the harvest.
So principle #1 is you need to be specific in describing what it is that you want. God says, “They have not because they ask not.”
Principle Number Two: You need to identify how much you need to sow in order to receive the harvest you are looking for. If a farmer wants to plant and harvest a hundred acres of wheat, he must figure out how much seed he needs to sow. Understanding however that the widow's mite (less than a penny) will return many times more than a large seed sown by a millionaire, which is no sacrifice at all. It is not the quantity of the seed, but the quality of the seed that returns the harvest you are sowing for.
So, Elisha asked the widow what she had that she could sow?” All she had was a little bit of oil. It was not much, but it was good oil and it was all that she had. It was not enough to pay any bills, but it was enough to sow for a financial miracle. In this case, she had to sow all of her oil, which returned to her by filling all of the other vessels. She received exactly what she asked for because she sold the oil for just enough to pay her debt and save her sons from bondage.
If you don’t have money, you can sow something else of value, but don’t expect to give some old worn out clothing and receive anything great. If you are truly destitute, remember that Christ said the widow’s mite was a greater gift than all of the others, because she had given all that she had. So simply sow the best seed that you have. It is not the size of the seed that counts. Is knowing that God acceps that seed, which empowers your faith.
In your sowing, go to God in prayer to find out what you need to sow.
Principle Number Three: You need to find out where to sow the seed. In the parable of the sower, we learn that seed that is sown to the wind and lands in rocky soil or among the thorns and briars, is not going to produce a harvest. Only seed that is sown correctly in fertile soil is going to produce thirty, sixty and a hundred fold. So how do we know where to sow the faith seed? By asking God. Many times you may receive a distinct answer to your mind or spirit. If not, use your best intellect to figure it out. Realize however that most churches and charities use less than five to ten percent of donations received for their intended purpose. If you donate to a church, find a pastor that earns his own living outside of the church and who uses 100% of all donations to help the needy.
Principle Number Four: You need to bless the seed and consecrate it to the Kingdom of God before sowing it. . Five thousand men along with numerous women and children had followed Christ up to the mount. The Lord’s disciples suggested he send the people away to buy food, but rather he said to feed them. The disciples said it would cost 8 months worth of labor and the Lord asked them what was available for a seed. Among all the people they found only 5 small loaves of bread and 2 fishes. Jesus told them to first bring the bread and fishes to him and he blessed it. In so doing, Jesus separated the bread from the kingdom of men and consecrated it to the Kingdom of God. The bread changed governments. After you pray over your seed, you then sow it. You give the gift and release it with faith. Faith is the unwavering confidence that God has the power to do what we want done. How do we get faith? By hearing the word and then acting upon it.

Muscles become stronger with exercise. We can hear and talk about exercise all we want, but until we take action nothing happens. Faith also grows when we exercise it. When we hear the successes others have had as a result of sowing seeds of faith, it can motivate us to experiment upon the word, which is an exercise of our own faith.
How do we know when we have faith? We are ready. We are expectant. We are convinced. The nagging voice of fear no longer exists and we are at peace. It only takes one experience to know it works. You see faith work one time and it's all over.
At first the Wright brothers believed they could fly, but the first time they got their plane off the ground, they knew they could fly. Their faith turned into knowledge. They made mistakes afterward, but through experimentation they learned more and more about the laws of aerodynamics.
The same thing will happen to you when you begin to exercise faith in sowing money for an increased return. Once you witness a miracle that is beyond the physical realm, your faith in this principle will transform into absolute knowledge. Then you will know that the law works 100% of the time when applied correctly.
There is no lack of abundance in the Kingdom of God. God wants you to have abundance. That is why he gave you the kingdom. If you fail to walk by faith, that is your fault. If you are currently experiencing lack, then you are operating or working outside of the kingdom.
Being in agreement with someone helps to increase faith. Christ said, “That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Matt 18:19. If you are married, be in agreement with your spouse wherever possible. For example, if the wife wants a green car and the husband wants a blue car, nothing is happening. One of you has to yeild.
You have to walk this faith thing out. You have to exercise faith and develop faith in order to become confident. You have to release faith when you have it. You need to sow your seed of faith, believing that you receive whatever you sow for.
Principle Number Five: You have to prepare to receive the blessings. In the case of the apostles, it was nets and boats to contain the fish that were caught. In the case of the widow, it was jars. The prophet Elisha told her to go borrow vessels from her neighbors, not just a few.
I think it is safe to say that if the widow had understood the full impact of God’s ability to multiply the oil, she would have found a lot more jars. She would have sent to the neighboring towns if necessary and she would have become the wealthiest oil merchant in all of the land. In other words, we set our own limitations of receiving all that God could give us through lack of faith and understanding.
There is no lack in the Kingdom of God. Only your faith and the room you have made to receive God’s blessings limits the amount of blessings you will receive.
You may have to be prepared for a change in occupation. If your nets are currently operating at full capacity, in order for them to catch bigger fish, you might have to change your method of doing business. God may give you an idea that seems strange or foolish. He told Gary to start a business showing people how to get out of debt, when he had $100,000 in credit card debt himself. You have to listen to the promptings of the Spirit and check everything out.
Christ told the disciples to cast their nets on the other side of the boat. At first that seemed strange, but they obeyed and caught so many fish that both of their boats nearly sank. If there had been a hundred boats, God could have filled them all.
At the same time, God expects some things from us and we need to recognize that God’s methods often seem strange and uncomfortable, but they are far more powerful than the normal way of doing things. If you hear the call to start sowing and reaping, God is going to propel you into the face of the enemy with strange tactics to help him slay the many Goliaths that are putting fear in the hearts and minds of his children.
A wise man once said, "the best way you can help the poor is to not be one of them." You can't sow seeds fom an empty bucket. Start sowing your money seeds of faith, blessing the lives of those who definitely need your help, expecting that your own jars will be filled to overflowing in return.
1. Write down the thing(s) you are sowing for – be clear.
2. Ask God how much to sow or how much you can expect to receive in exchange for sowing a specified amount.
3. Ask God where to sow. If you are involved in an organized gifting activity that decides which person(s) are to receive the gifts, it is wise to ask God if He is in agreement with the gift you are sowing. As you sow more and reap more and eventually have more seed money to sow, God will show you other places that need your seed money if you will but ask.
4. Lay hands on the seed – bless it and consecrate to the kingdom of God and then release it by giving the gift.
5. Gather up lots of jars – listen for whatever instructions God may give you as to what changes you need to make in your job, your business, etc. What field or forest do you need to sit in to get your deer? Where do you need to go to talk to the right person(s) to expand your business? The Spirit will guide you in all your doings if you are paying attention.
Here is an example of how to pray and consecrate your seed into God’s Kingdom or Government. Lord, I lay hands on this money. I bless it and consecrate it to your kingdom. I now sow it and release it to (_________) believing I receive (the things you have identified in Principle One) - in the name of Jesus – Amen.
There is a saying: "You can have everything in life that you want if you help enough other people get what they want." This saying is especially true if you are praying over your gifts of time and money and consecrating them to the Kingdom of God believing you will receive that which you ask for.
Part of your giving should be in sharing these principles with others. If you don’t make your contribution and tell other people about these principles, they may never hear about them. You might want to thank the person who shared them with you.
If enough people were to begin using these principles on a daily basis, we could literally change the world by helping people come out from under the earth curse system and enter into the Kingdom of God where all goodness abounds.
My name is John Austin. Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you have been blessed by what you have read. I give the glory to God for making this information available to me and allowing me to share it with you.
I am a non-denominational ordained minister. I live in Mexico and God has put it upon my heart to raise considerable money to build a shelter, a medical center, an orphanage and to purchase a farm to grow food to help alleviate some of the extreme poverty that many here are suffering from.
I am humbled by such an undertaking, but then I remember that God sent David to slay Goliath with a slingshot and a smooth stone. That must have seemed a bit overwhelming to a young shepherd boy.
Some of life's giants come in the form of poverty, starvation, lack of medical care for the poor, orphans without parents and hunger for lack of the word of God. With God's help and your donations, the needs of many people here can be alleviated. Any amounts are appreciated.
If you feel the need to verify my ordination, you can do it through the National Association of Christian Ministers (NACM) at: http://www.nacministers.com/verifyaminister.htm
If you are inspired to donate, you can make deposits or account transfers into Wells Fargo, or you can send money via Paypal or to my Post Office Box in El Paso, Texas.
Be sure to use the Five Principles every time you sow a financial seed of faith, whether it be to a member of our activity, our mission here in Mexico or other place of your choice. Whether you donate to our mission or not, please practice using these principles and pass them on to others that their lives may be blessed as well.
I encourage you to come back and reread these principles often. It takes time to root out old habits and thought patterns. Each day you wake up, you can bless your time and consecrate it to the kingdom. This action will help you stay more focused upon the Lord and help you keep him in your thoughts daily.
By all means, remember to bless and consecrate every gift you give, that it may more fully bless those to whom you give it, and return to you good measure, pressed down and running over. The more you give, the more you will receive, which is more you can give in return.
